Yes, this is another SharePoint blog. I am a SharePoint administrator for a company, and I don't have any formal training. Everything I know I've picked up from Google and just trying things. Our current SP site runs version WSS 3.0 on a Windows 2003 server. We are currently setting up a SP site in Office 365. We have hired a local company to set the site up and make it look good, something I'm not good at. I'm in charge of migrating several of our InfoPath form libraries to O365 (Office 365, SharePoint Online). That's challenging for a couple of reasons. I had to re-build the forms to work on the new site. There are quite a few differences between InfoPath 2013 and InfoPath 2010, which is what most of the forms were built with. And I can't make a lot of significant changes, because we are migrating the old, filled in forms, and we need to be able to read them.
So, what is the purpose of this blog? I'm hoping to share some of the solutions I've been finding concerning InfoPath and SharePoint online. I know there is a huge user base of people using InfoPath, even though it's only directly supported by Microsoft for another 10 years. There are some competitors to InfoPath that I'm hoping to explore. I know there must be other people out there who are having trouble figuring out the coding, rules, and formatting for migrating existing forms, or building new forms, in SharePoint Online.
